• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other sites to report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and professionally following protocols.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring of entrances and transportation-related areas.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and report to site contacts and leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in San Carlos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transit environment, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, report observations, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring of assigned entrances, facilities, and transportation-related areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
