Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution location including interiors, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and trailer yards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and driver entry procedures per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Deter unauthorized activity by observing and reporting unusual conditions and policy violations during patrols.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution location, including building interiors, exterior perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and trailer yards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and driver entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by observing and reporting unusual conditions, damaged property, and policy violations during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
