Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Mesquite, TX to protect clients across tech/media sites. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver courteous service while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees and visitors while following site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior spaces to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions to appropriate contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and emergencies following post orders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; report unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports, logs, and/or electronic reporting systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
