Job summary

Allied Universal in Aurora, IL is seeking an unarmed Security Officer Patrol to safeguard clients across financial and other facilities. You will patrol interior/exterior areas, manage access controls, monitor credentials, and respond calmly to alarms and incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires at least a high school diploma, a background check, and potential CPR or guard license.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking facilities, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials in accordance with site procedures and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately; promptly communication relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
