Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Charlottesville, VA for a part-time shift. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access, and provide professional customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors.

Position requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background check, and a drug screen. Schedule includes daytime weekend coverage with shifts starting early Saturday and Sunday.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at utility-related locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor procedures, and documenting entry and exit activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
