Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver in Sandy Level, VA. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service at a utility location.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and adherence to AU policies, with a split evening/night schedule. The position offers part-time hours, a driver-based post, and opportunities to handle additional shifts through the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and alarms, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other designated locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to established procedures.
• Report observed hazards, damaged infrastructure, suspicious activity, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
