Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Aurora, CO. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our platform to increase earnings. You will help control access, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents as part of a reliable, customer-focused team.

Compensation is $21.72 per hour with potential to earn more by taking extra shifts. The role supports growth toward full-time schedules up to 40 hours weekly and includes

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures at a logistics location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain records.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, communicating with site leadership and supervision.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking, and perimeter to identify concerns.
• Direct drivers to check-in areas and follow site-specific inbound/outbound protocols.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Part Time in Aurora, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.72 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Assist with vehicle and trailer access procedures, including directing drivers to designated check-in areas and following site-specific protocols for inbound and outbound traffic.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
