Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA. You will monitor, patrol, and deter security incidents while providing excellent customer service to clients and visitors. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work a rotating schedule are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted as per federal, state, and local laws.

• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests while following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with internal teams or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology location and monitor access control points.
• Complete required security reports and communicate unusual conditions to site leadership.
• Support operations during events, deliveries, and contractor activity by verifying authorization and documenting activity.

As a Security Officer – Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine foot patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and report concerns promptly. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal teams and/or public emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology location, including offices, common areas, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and security-related systems, complete required reports, and communicate unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Support security-related operations during special events, deliveries, and contractor activity by verifying authorization, providing directions, and documenting activity per site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
