Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for Hospital Access in Columbia, SC. You will patrol, monitor access points, and provide courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining a secure environment.

Use computers/tablets to document incidents, respond to emergencies calmly, and collaborate with site leadership to uphold policies and procedures. This is a full-time role offering benefits and a stable schedule.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Hospital Access in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. You will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and dependable service while using computer or tablet systems as needed.

Pay Rate: $17.26 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor-management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
