Job summary

Allied Universal in Hampton, VA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver to protect clients at a retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible deterrent, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to site policies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and incident documentation while helping to deter theft, unauthorized activity, and disruptions.

This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Fri: 02:30 PM - 06:30 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
