Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Full Time in Minneapolis, MN. You will guard campuses, provide excellent customer service, and deter incidents through visible presence and professional communication.

Shifts run Monday through Friday 6:30 AM–2:30 PM. Minimum requirements include 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. A valid driver’s license is only for driving roles.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Tue 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Wed 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Thur 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Fri 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately and promptly, following site procedures and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general support for campus events and daily operations while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
