Job summary

Allied Universal in Eagan, MN is seeking a Security Officer (unarmed) to serve students, staff and visitors at an educational location. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide clear, courteous customer service.

Position type: Full Time. Pay rate: $21.45 per hour. Shifts are 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture while providing safe, welcoming environments.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and faculty by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of educational facilities, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
