Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Full Time in Hartsville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting daily operations through teamwork, reliability, integrity, and an agile, people-first approach.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, issuing badges or passes, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter to identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
