Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) for a healthcare location in Sylvania, OH. You will monitor areas, perform patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Minimum 2 years of security experience, high school diploma, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly and follow established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and assist with directions.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate observations to leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
