Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Culpeper, VA. This role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift as a reliable base, plus opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.15 per hour. Responsibilities include customer service to residents and staff, site security procedures, patrols, access control, incident reporting, and collaboration with emergency services as needed. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age requirements: at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law; drug screen as permitted.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Culpeper, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly residential environment.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation for incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
