Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Montgomery, AL. You will patrol offices and parking areas, assist tenants and visitors, and use our tech tools to deter incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

You will work a part-time schedule with a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for shift changes via the Claim a Shift platform. Must have security experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal driver policy.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as part of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and vendors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, maintaining accurate daily activity and incident docs.
• Report maintenance issues and suspicious activity to supervision.

Pay Rate: $17.93 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, parking areas, common spaces, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate daily activity and incident documentation.
• Report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues to the appropriate personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
