Job summary

Allied Universal in Freeport, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Access Driver to protect clients at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will manage access control, monitor points, and maintain a visible, professional security presence.

Responsibilities include verifying credentials, escorting visitors as needed, and responding calmly to incidents or alarms with timely communication to site contacts.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Fri: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Sun: 05:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor processing, and document access activity in support of site access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to restricted areas, gates, and other access points where security‑related concerns may arise.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards that could impact personnel, property, or operations, helping to support a professional and orderly location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
