Allied Universal is seeking a Front Desk Security Officer with an active DoD Top Secret clearance for our Charlottesville, VA site. You will greet visitors, control access, monitor systems, and respond to incidents with professional service in a tech-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed.
• Background investigations will be conducted per laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors at a front-desk location within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment.
• Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Greet visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Monitor front-desk communications, access-control activity, and designated cameras or alarm systems, reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and coordinate with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• CPR certification is preferred.

• A Guard Card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
