• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly following established procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Front Desk in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence while monitoring access, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and responding to security-related concerns. You will help maintain an orderly environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide professional customer service at the front desk of a government office by greeting visitors, answering general questions, and directing individuals to appropriate departments or personnel.
• Monitor visitor access by verifying identification, following site-specific entry procedures, issuing visitor credentials as applicable, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Observe lobby and reception-area activity and report suspicious, unusual, or unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Support a professional and orderly government-office environment by maintaining clear communication with staff, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
