Job summary

Allied Universal in Hazlehurst, MS is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Access Control) to monitor and safeguard clients across industries, with a visible presence to deter incidents and support access control. Daytime shifts build a flexible schedule and opportunities to explore new roles via our Shift platform.

You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, verify visitor credentials, respond to alarms, and report hazards while upholding integrity and teamwork within a caring

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout food and beverage production areas, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, facility hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
