Job summary

Allied Universal in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed - Access Control to serve clients at a Manufacturing and Industrial site. You will monitor entrances, perform patrols, and enforce site-specific policies with professionalism.

This full-time role offers a $22.00 hourly pay rate, regular day-evening schedule, and opportunities to grow through training and a perks program in a caring, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exteriors, parking, loading docks, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization, and document visitor, delivery, and incident activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly per established protocols.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns and suspicious activity to leadership.

• Tue: 10:30 AM - 06:30 PM
• Wed: 10:30 AM - 06:30 PM
• Thur: 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM
• Fri: 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns, hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
