Position Summary

Provides direct security and related public services.

Responsibilities

You will conduct the following responsibilities, upholding HSS's commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community:

• Maintain the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, patients, and visitors; serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property.
• Provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED completed
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable licenses or certifications
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to stand and/or walk for entire shift, lift objects up to 80 lbs., assist in restraining or lifting individuals
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving guidelines if applicable

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience working with the public in a service setting

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This is a full-time position with variable hours based on client needs. Work may include evenings and weekends, with potential for overtime. The environment can be fast-paced and stressful.

Employees will spend approximately 75% of time sitting and 25% walking, using hands for handling objects, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with mental concentration needed for analysis and decision-making.
