Job summary

Surefire Security in the Bay Area is seeking a reliable unarmed Security Officer to patrol properties, maintain a visible professional presence, and monitor access points across commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, and construction sites.

The role offers day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour posts. Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $26, with fire watch premiums and shift differentials where applicable. You will be trained and BSIS background must be clean.

Qualifications

• Prior security experience preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visible, professional presence at assigned post
• Conduct scheduled and randomized patrols of the property
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vendor sign-in
• Observe and report - document all incidents, hazards, and anomalies via our mobile reporting app
• De-escalate disputes and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when needed
• Complete shift Daily Activity Reports before end of shift
• Follow site-specific post orders exactly

Security Officer (Unarmed) - Surefire Security, Bay Area.

Uniformed unarmed security officer assigned to commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, or construction properties across the Bay Area. The core role at Surefire and the starting point for most of our supervisors.

Pay

$20-$26/hour depending on experience, shift, and assignment type. Fire watch-certified officers earn a premium on fire watch shifts. Overnight and weekend differentials apply.
