Job summary

Prosegur Security USA, Inc. seeks an Unarmed Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for customers and employees in Belvidere, Illinois.

You will perform routine patrols, handle hazards, and interact professionally with clients and the public, while meeting English communication standards and post instructions.

The role requires 18+ years, a HS diploma, and willingness to participate in screening; flexibility to cover shifts and locations.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Clean driving record and valid driver license
• Capable of following complex instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Active PERC and 20HR

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
• Train in multiple locations and cover when needed.
• Be adaptable to schedule changes
• Have availability to work more than two shifts to cover where the operator needs you to be scheduled depending on coverage needs.
