Job summary

Allied Universal in Pomona, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at the truck gate to protect assets and ensure operational safety at a logistics location. You will perform security procedures, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professional customer service.

The role offers a flexible schedule (Fri 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Sat 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM) and opportunities at a nationwide security leader. A background in security and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and driver check-in procedures, and maintaining logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity, report damaged fencing, unsecured doors, lighting concerns, and other security-related issues, and support a professional environment.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
