• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of residential areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and shift communications.

• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Full Time Transitional Shelter in Long Island City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transitional Shelters. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a Shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support residents, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
