Job summary

Allied Universal in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Tablet Checkpoints to protect clients across facilities. You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, and deliver professional customer service.

This role offers flexible evening shifts, training, and opportunities to advance while maintaining a visible security presence and upholding safety procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff and visitors while following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials when required, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols and incidents.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, individuals receiving services, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification, preferred.
• Possess CPR certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
