Job summary

Allied Universal, Denver, CO, is hiring a Security Officer - Train Enforcement to patrol transit facilities and assist passengers and employees. This full-time role pays $21.00 per hour and involves day/evening shifts at a government transit location with a focus on safety and service.

Responsibilities include visible patrols, incident response, reporting, and helping visitors while maintaining professionalism. Required: 1 year security experience and HS diploma; Guard Card preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Handcuffing certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or transit personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate transit personnel, emergency responders, and/or supervisors as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, access-control concerns, and policy violations, completing accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Assist with directing visitors and passengers, providing general location information, and maintaining a professional presence at assigned government transit locations.

What You'll Do:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
