• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of transit facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity or policy violations per reporting procedures.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general public assistance at transit locations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transit locations.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report unusual activity, access concerns, property damage, and policy violations in accordance with established reporting procedures.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general public assistance while maintaining a professional presence at government-operated transit locations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
