Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a professional, dependable Physical Security Officer for a newly constructed apartment community in Wisconsin. The position is unarmed and requires a Wisconsin security license.

Hours are 8:00 PM–2:00 AM, Monday–Friday (30 hours/week), with potential additional weekend shifts and a temporary winter assignment that could become permanent. Responsibilities include patrols, monitoring CCTV, reporting incidents, and providing excellent customer service to

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to obtain a Wisconsin Security License through the DSPS.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, visible security presence.
• Deter unauthorized persons from entering or remaining on the property.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and report suspicious activity.
• Conduct documented hourly interior and exterior patrols.
• Observe and report disturbances, property damage, safety hazards, and suspicious behavior.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with residents, property management, and Per Mar supervisors.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a courteous, professional, and authoritative presence.
• Help maintain a safe, secure, and quiet environment for residents.

Job Overview

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Physical Security Officer to provide security services at a newly constructed apartment community.

Job Details

• Pay: $18.00/hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 PM–2:00 AM (30 hours/week)
• Additional Hours: Weekend shifts may be available at the same hours and pay for those seeking additional hours.
• Temporary position, hours available through the winter; possibility of permanent employment based on business needs and performance.
• Unarmed position: Officers cannot carry firearms, weapons, ammunition, or other protective devices or gear while on duty.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to obtain a Wisconsin Security License through the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS).*
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security experience.
• Overnight or third-shift experience.
• Access control or entry point monitoring experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Walk and stand for extended periods as needed for patrols.
• Conduct hourly interior and exterior patrols.
• Monitor surveillance systems.
• Respond quickly to incidents.
• Sitting between rounds.
