Job Description

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to deter security incidents and support a secure atmosphere. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting with customer service needs, and maintaining clear communication with team members. You will contribute to a people-first culture by acting with integrity, reliability, and collaboration. This position does not require driving or carrying a weapon.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

Day Time: Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, adapting to varying environments.
• Help deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and observing for unusual behavior.
• Document and report security incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity per site protocols.
• Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering the premises as required.

Minimum Requirements

• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Minimum age: 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check required, compliant with laws.
• Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories lawfully.
• Drug screening required, where permitted by law.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply.
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
