Job summary

Allied Universal in Tempe, AZ is hiring a Security Officer - Swing Shift for a healthcare environment. You will monitor facilities, control access, and provide customer service to employees, patients, and visitors while maintaining a visible presence.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and HS diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while following procedures.
• Conduct patrols of healthcare facilities and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; document activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms with clear reporting.

• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare and pharmaceutical facility buildings, laboratories, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and complete accurate reports.
• Support a professional environment by observing and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
