Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in New York, NY. The role provides fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You’ll perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional customer service at all times. Pay rate is $18.87 per hour with a six-month anchor shift commitment at a designated site.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Route Validation in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and partner agencies by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facility areas, entrances, exits, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
