Allied Universal in Bronx, NY is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed to join our team. This role offers flexible, dependable hours with a fixed shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to maximize earnings.

The position requires excellent customer service, vigilance, and adherence to site procedures. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and candidates will undergo background checks and potentially a drug screen in line with policy.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate staff and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining professional interactions with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation regarding incidents, patrols, observations, and actions taken.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Stewardship in BRONX, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
