The Unified Government of Wyandotte County is looking for security personnel to ensure the safety of government buildings, employees, and citizens. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, pass security training, and achieve semi-annual weapons qualifications.
The position offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $25.86 to $34.61 per hour. Successful candidates will fulfill responsibilities related to maintaining security standards and providing a safe environment.
As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer criminal history background check, physical examination and drug screen. All employees must also submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.
Responsible for providing security to the Unified Government buildings, employees and citizens.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to pass basic security course and pass semi-annual weapons qualifications. Course involves handcuffing, responding to active threats and defensive tactics. Must qualify with a Conducted Electrical Weapon (Taser).
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including those pertaining to search and seizure, as well as knowledge in security procedures, methods, and protocol or any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Must be 18 years of age and have a Valid Driver’s License at the time of application.
Pay: $25.86 - $34.61 per hour.
