This full-time, unarmed role offers a night-shift schedule (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM) with pay at $19.48 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality.

As a Security Officer Supermarket in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist customers and team members with professionalism. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to shoppers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
