Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per laws.
• Background histories considered per laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned transit facilities, entrances, platforms, concourses, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and support orderly movement of passengers and visitors, reporting suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
