Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a State Site in Boston MA

Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3 PM

Starting Pay is $22.05 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training

As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while using technology to support daily operations and help deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen persons and belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, identifying prohibited items and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a professional, courteous presence at designated entry points while helping to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items from entering the facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Document screening activities, incidents, and irregularities accurately in required logs and reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
