Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a State Site in Boston, MA. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday 3 PM - 11 PM with a starting pay of $23.00 per hour, plus paid orientation and paid training.

As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and belongings using assigned screening equipment and procedures, identify prohibited items, and report concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Verify access credentials and direct visitors in accordance with established entry requirements and government facility protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
