Job summary

Concordance seeks a dedicated Security Officer in St. Louis, Missouri, to safeguard participants, staff, and facilities as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform interior and exterior rounds, monitor entrances, oversee parking areas, and respond to security incidents to ensure a safe environment for justice-involved individuals. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to obtain an armed security license where applicable, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Prior experience with justice-involved adults or other vulnerable populations preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an armed security guard license where applicable.
• Driver’s License.
• Higher education degree preferred.
• CPR/adult first aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect Concordance property and team members by conducting interior and exterior rounds, observing for safety and security issues or theft, and monitoring parking lots.
• Complete random drug screens of participants.
• Monitor entry to the Concordance Center, including bag searches and security systems.
• Monitor video surveillance equipment.
• Respond to overhead pages and requests for assistance.
• Write reports on irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Enforce security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Concordance team members to ensure the safety and security of participants, team members, and facilities.
• Occasionally, help set up for Center events or move classrooms around, including carrying and setting up tables and chairs.

Position Overview

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Concordance’s participants, team members, and facilities. In this role, you will interact with our participants, team members, and visitors and work with a team of Security Officers.

Key Responsibilities

• Protecting the Concordance’s property and team members by conducting interior and exterior rounds, observing for safety and security issues or theft, and monitoring parking lots

Required Education and Licensing
