Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at our Newport, RI site. You will protect clients across healthcare facilities, maintain a visible presence, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service.

The role offers part-time hours and a schedule you can shape with the Claim a Shift platform. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, performing regular patrols, monitoring access points, and documenting actions per site procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital staff and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, assisting with directions and access-related inquiries.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
