Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare purchasing and logistics location by following site procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and delivery verification per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm problem-solving and notify appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observations and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer - Patrol Surveillance in Riverview, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule

• Fri: 09:00 AM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare purchasing and logistics location by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and delivery verification in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
