Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, employees, and patients by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-screening, and emergency response when needed.
• Screen individuals and deliveries entering the healthcare location according to policies, verify IDs, visitor approval, and access.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and incident documentation per site procedures and confidentiality requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Operations in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, employees, and patients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-screening requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals and deliveries entering the healthcare location in accordance with established policies, verifying identification, visitor authorization, and permitted access.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures and applicable confidentiality requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
