Job Description

As a Security Officer - Shopping Mall Patrol in Valrico, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining open communication with visitors and staff. You will contribute to a welcoming environment by addressing concerns and supporting a positive experience for everyone on site. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $13.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

DayTime

Wed 04:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Thur 04:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Support emergency response activities and follow established protocols during incidents.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• A valid Guard Card or security license is preferred.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
