BSG is seeking to hire a Full-Time Security Officer for a shopping center in Corte Madera. This Security Officer is primarily responsible for perimeter and access control and will ensure guests and employees feel secure and welcomed everyday. We are seeking candidates with exceptional presentation and customer service skills. This role will be a combination of foot and vehicle patrol.

Shift

• Swing (Thursday - Sunday) and Morning (Wednesday)

Hourly Rate

• $24.00 per hour.

This role requires specific physical abilities to ensure the Security Guard can effectively perform essential job duties. The candidate must be able to:

• Stand, Sit, or Walk for Extended Periods: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, often for several hours at a time, including traversing outdoor areas with uneven surfaces, without significant physical strain.
• Climb Stairs: Regularly climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings to perform patrols and check all areas.
• Lift and Carry: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move or secure equipment, and assist with other duties as necessary.
• Physical Endurance: Ability to withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols, including hot, cold, rainy, or windy weather.
• Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle and operate security equipment, such as radios, keys, and locks.
• Run or Move Quickly: Ability to sprint short distances if needed to respond quickly to emergencies or incidents.
• Physical Stamina: Capable of working long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift. De-escalate stressful situations with professionalism and patience.
• Kneeling and Bending: Ability to kneel, crouch, and bend to check low-level areas, secure entrances, or assist in emergencies.
• Vision and Hearing: Strong vision and hearing to observe surroundings, monitor security systems, and detect alarms or sounds of distress.
