Allied Universal in Stratford, CT is seeking a Security Officer Shipping Access Center to protect client operations at a logistics and distribution site. You will monitor premises, assist employees and visitors, and enforce site policies while delivering professional customer service.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. You will perform patrols, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming, secure environment for staff and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Background investigation as per federal, state and local laws.

• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and delivery-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping/receiving zones, and perimeter.
• Monitor facility access, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and maintain logs/reports.
• Observe package handling and dock activity, reporting security concerns as needed.

As a Security Officer Shipping Access Center in Stratford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will communicate professionally, report observations, and provide customer service while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Wed: 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify authorized personnel and visitors as directed by site policies, and maintain required activity logs and incident reports.
• Observe package handling, vehicle traffic, and dock activity for unusual conditions, and communicate security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
