Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for a Shipping Center in Stratford, CT. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping/receiving zones, and perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify entry, and document activity of visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and follow site procedures.
• Prepare clear patrol and incident reports and communicate findings to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Guard Shipping Center in Stratford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
