Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Shift Supervisor at $21.00 per hour. The Shift Supervisor will oversee security at a high-profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus during a designated shift. Responsibilities include performing general security duties, enforcing policies, deterring criminal activity, and managing security personnel.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding their duties.
• Cross-train officers to increase versatility and efficiency.
• Recommend productivity improvements and cost reductions to management.
• Suggest physical security surveys and update post orders.
• Recommend personnel actions for those under supervision.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training for security officers on shift.
• Ensure training and screening requirements are met.
• Maintain minimum overtime levels as designated.
• Inspect security personnel and performance regularly to ensure quality and compliance.
• Perform related operations functions such as payroll, incident reports, and security surveys.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply before employment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• One or more of the following:
• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Service in military, reserves, or National Guard.
• Service in auxiliary police or police cadets.
• At least one year of verifiable security experience.
• Two or more years of verifiable work experience demonstrating:
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies.
• Understanding and applying written/verbal orders, report writing.
• Effective communication, planning, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to evaluate situations quickly and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Emergency Management Systems FEMA Incident Command Certification (ICO 100, 200, 300).
• Knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder, or Emergency Medical Technician.
