Job summary

County of Sacramento is seeking a Sheriff's Security Officer to enforce security and protect County and contracted properties. The role includes patrolling grounds, operating radios and related systems, and maintaining accurate reports.

Applicants must meet POST training requirements, pass medical and psychological screenings, and be willing to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends. The position is located within Sacramento County and under Sheriff’s supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or satisfactory completion of an acceptable GED.
• Satisfactory completion of an introductory POST course as described in Penal Code Section 832 (arrest and firearms training).
• Satisfactory completion of a POST-approved course in carrying and use of a baton or possession of a baton certification.
