Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Investigation in New York, NY. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, providing reliable hours and the potential to earn more.

Pay rate is $18.87 per hour, with day and night schedules described as DayTime Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and residents at a government-operated homelessness services location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, communicating observations to site personnel and responders.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity following site procedures and reporting requirements.

• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual occurrences accurately and promptly, following Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Investigation in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
